A note on mailing absentee ballots:
If you are MAILING your absentee ballot in, PLEASE give yourself PLENTY of time!
Please, please, PLEASE mail your ballots in at LEAST a week early!
Even better, hand deliver them to the Auditor's Office yourself! You can also drop it off in the ballot box outside of the Courthouse. The ballot drop box is in the courthouse parking lot and is a great option. It’s available 24 hours a day. There are security cameras on it and it’s emptied several times a day, 7 days a week by the auditor's office staff.
Need a ride to the polls???
If you need a ride to the courthouse to vote, to drop off a ballot, or on election day to the polls, please contact the Cerro Gordo Democratic Headquarters in Mason City and we’ll make sure you get a ride! We'll make it happen!
